Hello everyone,
I guess this is it. 0.5.1 is out, I did some final cleanup (updated the release date of the 0.5.1 release in the changelog and in org.freeorion.FreeOrion.metainfo.xml on master - I recommend looking through the 0.5.1 release branch for changes that have been made only there and which should be cherry picked to master). Which means work on the 0.5.1 release is complete, and the next release cycle begins.
With that, I'm officially stepping down from my last remaining responsibilities.
Once again I want to say that it has been an interesting and fun experience. Which lasted waaaay longer than I expected, I have to admit. I never thought I'd be involved with an open source project over so many years (13 years and 3 months, if my calculations are correct). I'm certainly going to miss you guys, and those little things I did on a regular basis for many years now, which have become some kind of fixture in my life. Like the weekly test builds. Image may be NSFW.
Clik here to view.
Once again, good luck and my best wishes for the continued development of FO. As I said, I won't vanish of the radar completely, I intend pay a visit to the forums now and then to see what's going on, and you can always contact me via PM.
