I'd like to propose adding FreeOrion to one of the popular game stores such as GOG, itch.io, Steam or EpicGames.

There are two reasons for this:

1. It makes it much easier to install a game on Linux because we Linux gamers prefer to use Lutris to install, update and manage games.
this normally means one of the following, which ever is easier for you
- Package the game in various distribution package formats to be able to outright install it from Lutris (because Lutris supports connecting to many game stores and downloading games from your game library)
- Provide a standalone game directory with all dependencies such that game executable is simply run.

2. Second reason why you might want to use a game store is to make the game more popular and easier to discover, many opensource and indie games are published on game stores not just AAA games, even browser games are found on stores,
I have personally discovered games on game stores that are otherwise not easy to find elsewhere, could be because game stores are my first stop.

What do you say?
